
Grampians Texture is a unique opportunity for textile artists to
explore their passion for textiles in one of Australian’s most
beautiful natural environments.
Set in Halls Gap in the stunning Grampians National Park,
(western Victoria) a myriad of workshops ranging from felting to
printing, stitching to dyeing, jewellery to box making are offered
under the inspiring direction of local, national and international
tutors.. Workshops offered are for the weekend (2 days) or four days
(Monday – Thursday), 9.30 am – 4 pm. All workshops are located in
Halls Gap.
Come and enjoy the local environment, in addition to the
inspiring workshops, have a holiday and a great textile art
experience.

A class requirement list will be forwarded to you upon enrolment,
most workshops will also have a small materials charge to cover the
cost of consumables provided by your tutor.

There will be lots of opportunities to participate in
extracurricular activities, such as special exhibitions, Grampians
Texture Twilight Makers Market on Saturday 25 February in the
grounds of the Mountain Grand for students and tutors to sell their
wares (if you are wishing to be a seller please include on your
workshop booking form), several dinners and to renew friendships
with other textile enthusiasts during the forum. A full program of
activities will be forwarded to enrolled participants in early
January. Partners, family and friends are welcome at all evening
activities. If you are visiting the area in late February check the

are welcome to participate in.
Centennial Hall, Halls Gap will be open daily selling all things
textile including fibres and threads, buttons and books etc.

Grampians Texture is a project of GrampianArts a not for
profit organization that strives to provide opportunities for
artists to extend their skills and showcase their work. It is
supported Halls Gap Tourism and Northern Grampians Shire Council.

collecting tutors from the airport in Melbourne and bringing them to
Halls Gap, setting up rooms and exhibitions etc; all of these things
